What we offer

We provide support to parents whose children are undergoing any form of Diagnosis that will impact the learner’s education.

Our Offer and Services

At The Hub, we provide both emotional and practical support that continues beyond diagnosis, offering ongoing guidance for families and learners. This includes termly group sessions designed to strengthen parental relationships and build a peer support network, alongside one-to-one meetings for parents who request more tailored guidance.

To further empower families, we host free quarterly training workshops, giving parents and carers access to practical strategies, resources and additional support. This provision is particularly valuable for families of children with complex needs, many of whom struggle to find accessible or affordable services. In the East Midlands, local options are limited and those available further afield often come at a cost. Our free and inclusive sessions aim to bridge this gap by creating a local network where parents can connect, share experiences and build confidence together.

Ultimately, our programme not only reduces pressure on overstretched services but also helps parents regain confidence, build community connections and re-establish supportive routines.

The Hub offers bespoke, individualised educational packages tailored to the hopes and aspirations of each learner. In partnership with local schools and authorities, we provide a broad range of academic and vocational programmes that offer a focused, achievable route to success. We welcome learners aged 5 to 25, with pathways suited to their educational, emotional and social needs.

Our Current Offer Includes:

  • Primary Curriculum-based learning

  • Secondary National Curriculum pathways

  • Vocational study programmes

  • NCFE Functional Skills in Maths and English

  • Bronze and Silver Arts Award

  • Open Awards courses from Entry Level to Level 3 (GCSE and A Level equivalent)

  • Post-16 tailored packages, soon to include Access to HE courses

  • Duke of Edinburgh Awards

All learning is delivered by qualified educators and subject to rigorous quality assurance processes, ensuring the highest standards of education. This is complemented by a specialist mental health and wellbeing package designed to build confidence and address barriers to learning and progression.

Learners can attend The Hub for up to two days per week.  They are placed into groups that best support both their academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

Our dedicated Family Support Worker provides consistent guidance for parents and carers, supporting them through diagnosis and ensuring their voices are heard. This ongoing, free-of-charge service helps families of some of the most complex children access the support they need—support that is often otherwise unavailable or unaffordable within the region.

We endeavour to raise funds via grants, fundraising events and the profits from the tuition. This helps to promote the services and support those who are not yet with an EHCP that need financial support with accessing a suitable learning experience for learners with SEND or SEMH difficulties. This means we can offer the support that schools are not able to provide.

We assist learners who are not financially able to fund private assessments, or tutoring services. Furthermore, awareness building will make the wider community aware of our services and what we have to offer.

We are offering a discounted pricing structure for our service for those who are not able to finance their own assessments.

We will fund some of the placements and assessments from the CIC to help those in need via a secure pot of funds which are allocated via a criteria list that will help us determine who is most in need. This will be monitored and updated quarterly and feedback on our community aspect will be published on our social media and website to promote the support we are offering.
