Outreach

What is our Outreach Programme?

Our Outreach Programme offers personalised education and support for young people who may find traditional school environments overwhelming or inaccessible. It is designed to help learners rebuild confidence and re-engage with learning in a way that feels safe whilst working towards a positive transition.  This may be back into school or attending the Hub.

We provide flexible, student-led sessions that take place in the community, at home or in other agreed safe spaces. Every session is shaped around the learner’s needs, helping them develop new skills, achieve personal goals and take meaningful steps forward at a pace that suits them.

Who is our Outreach Programme for?

Our Outreach Programme supports:

  • Learners already attending The Hub who may benefit from additional one-to-one or small-group support outside of the main setting.

  • Young people who are not currently attending school and prefer to access education solely through outreach sessions.

Whether a learner is preparing to reintegrate into mainstream school, transition into The Hub or simply needs consistent, positive mentoring, our Outreach Programme provides structure, guidance and a truly personalised approach to help them succeed.

Who delivers the Outreach Programme?

Our Outreach team is made up of skilled, caring staff who understand the importance of relational, trauma-informed practice. Each team member:

  • Has strong experience working with SEND and adapts sessions to suit different learning styles and needs.

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS, ensuring they are fully vetted to work with children and young people.

  • Is fully trained in safeguarding and follows our policies and procedures to ensure safety and wellbeing at all times.

  • Works closely with our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), reporting any concerns promptly and appropriately.

We pride ourselves on creating safe, supportive spaces where learners feel valued, listened to and empowered.

How do we track progress?

Progress within Outreach is carefully overseen by our Head of Outreach, Sydny, who ensures that learners and staff are supported throughout the journey. This includes:

  • Monitoring sessions and tracking individual progress to make sure learners remain on the right pathway.

  • Providing guidance and supervision to staff so sessions remain purposeful and effective.

  • Meeting with parents and carers whether this is at home or in the community, to discuss progress and discuss the next steps.

  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures are rigorously followed to maintain a safe, consistent and nurturing experience for every student.

By maintaining a clear overview of each learner’s journey, we can provide the right support at the right time, helping young people grow, achieve and move forward with confidence.
