The Hub Horizons – Shepshed

Horizons is our post-16 provision, designed to help young adults prepare for adulthood, employment, and independent living. It offers a supportive and practical environment where learners can build confidence and develop real-world skills through accredited vocational programmes, volunteering, work placements, and community projects. Based in the heart of Shepshed, Horizons benefits from strong community links and partnerships with local businesses and colleges, giving learners access to hospitality, retail and other vocational experiences within real working environments. Close to the site, there is also a dedicated horticulture area where learners can take part in hands-on, outdoor learning that supports wellbeing and teamwork. Learners here, typically aged 16–25, follow personalised transition pathways, many with EHCPs, working towards their long-term goals of independence, employment and meaningful participation in their communities.
